Baking using Charcoal / wood Stove
I do know that many people living in developing countries, would like to bake cakes and bread but can not afford gas or electric even. Don’t cry any more! Now you can have your own charcoal oven (Oveni ya makaa) or wood stove (Oveni ya kuni). These technologies have been there years and years ago. It is sad that we do not learn this during our home economics classes in secondary schools (In developing countries).
I was blessed to watch one of my relatives (home economics teacher), baking using Makaa (Charcoal). She baked nice cakes and bread at home using (Tanzanian) charcoal stove. I used to help and I do remember very well what we used to do. I hope these instructions will help a few people. Also you can buy “Build Your Own Earth Oven”by Kiko Denzer or The bread Builders by Daniel Wing and Alan Scott. I have not read these books but I understand these books can be helpful for our developing countries. I am not paid to help anybody sell books; I will only post a book that I believe it can help our African cooks in Africa.
Kwa wale walio Tanzania. Nime pata tovuti ambazo wanaeleza jinsi ya kutengeneza jiko la mkate au keki. Kama ukipata mjenzi, anaweza kukujengea jiko. - The bread Builders by Daniel Wing and Alan Scott. Kama unataka kuanzisha biashara ya kujenga majiko ya mkate, basi tembelea hii tovuti. Hawa wanauza vitabu ambavyo vinamaelezo mazuri sana ya ujenzi wa majiko kama haya.
