Bacon Cheese Appetizer Pie Recipe

Three years ago, I made this for an open house and everyone enjoyed it. It tastes great and is simple to make. This region enjoys cheesecake, so it's fun to serve it as an appetizer rather than dessert occasionally.

INGREDIENTS

 Pastry for a one crust pie
 11 pkg. cream cheese, softened
 4 eggs, lightly beaten
 ¼ milk
 1 (4 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
 ½ sliced green onions
 6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
 ½ tsp. salt
  tsp. pepper
  tsp. cayenne pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Roll pastry into a 13 1/2 inch circle

Fit into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9 inch spring form pan

Lightly prick the bottom

Bake at 450

Cool slightly

In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy

Add eggs and milk; beat until smooth

Add the Swiss cheese, onions, bacon, salt, pepper and cayenne; mix well

Pour into the crust

Bake at 350

Cool for 20 minutes

Remove sides of pan

Cut into thin slices; serve warm
