Blue Ribbon French Toast (Star 11/23/92) Recipe

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.2. Combine milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl.3. Dip bread slices in the mixture.4. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.5. Add the bread slices and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.6. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.7. Serve with maple syrup and powdered sugar.

 1 1/2 ts Baking powder
 ½ ts Salt
 1 ts Vanilla

Blend well.

Pour into ashallow dish or pan.

Place bread slices into the dish.

Turn to coat breadon both sides.

Cook on griddle or in a skillet, in oil, margarine orbutter, until golden, turn and cook until second side is golden.

Servewith syrup or confectioners sugar.
