In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar.
Beatuntil light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
With wooden spoon, mix inflour until blended.
Divide dough into 3 parts.
Place one part in a bowlwith red coloring.
Repeat with another third.
Keep one third uncolored.
Ona floured surface roll each piece of dough into a rope.
Place rope into acookie press with your favorite disk.
Press cookies onto an ungreasedcookie sheet.
Bake at 400 deg f for about 7 minutes or until set.
