French Herb Swirl Recipe is a recipe that is used to make a type of bread. This bread is made with flour, water, yeast, and salt. It is then rolled out and flavored with herbs.

 1 c buttermilk
 2 tb sugar
 ¼ c water
 1 ts salt
 ¼ c margarine or butter
 2 pk active dry yeast
 4 c all-purpose flour
 1 ts poppy seed

FILLING:2 tb margaine or butter1 ea clove garlic, minced1/2 cminced onion1/2 ts salt1 tb chopped parsley In a small saucepan, heat milk, water and butter until very warm.

In alarge bowl combine heated liquids, 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast.

Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.

Stir in additional 1 1/2 to 2 cups flour toform a soft dough.

On a floured surface, knead the dough untill smooth andelastic.

Place dough in a greased bowl and cover.

Let risein a warm place for 30 to 45 minutes or until doubled in size.

Grease a 12cup fluted tube pan; sprinkle with poppy seeds.

In a small saucepan sauteonion in butter till lightly browned; stir in remaining filling ingredientsPunch down dough; roll out to a 16x8-inch rectangle.

Spread filling to abou1-inch from edges.

Start with the longer side, roll up tightly and seal edgForm into a circle and seal ends.

Place in prepared pan.

Cover and let riseabout 15 minutes or til doubled in size.

In a preheated 400F ovenbake 20to 30 minutes or untill golden brown.
