Garlic Soup Recipe

There is no one definitive recipe for garlic soup, as there are many different ways to make it. However, some of the most common ingredients used in garlic soup recipes include garlic, chicken stock, potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, and thyme. Most recipes also call for the soup to be pureed before serving, in order to create a smooth, creamy texture.

 3 ea Cloves Garlic; Crushed
 2 tb Vegetable Oil
 2 ea White Bread; Slices,
 4 c Chicken Broth
 ½ ts Salt
 ¼ ts Pepper
 1 ea Egg; Large, Slightly Beaten

Bread should be cut into small pieces.

~Cook and stir garlic in oil in a 3-quart saucepan until brown.

Stir inbread; cook and stir until light brown.

Stir in broth, salt and pepper.

Heat to boiling; reduce heat.

Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

Stir atleast half of the hot mixture gradually into egg.

Stir back into hotmixture in saucepan.

Boil and stir 1 minute.

Sprinkle with snippedparsley, if desired.
