1 cup sugar1 cup butter1 egg1 teaspoon vanilla2 cups flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon saltInstructions:1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.2. Cream together the sugar and butter. Add the egg and vanilla and mix until well blended.3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the butter mixture and mix until well blended.4. Roll the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass.5. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
