This recipe is for a type of brownie that is neither cake nor candy. It is a dense, fudgy brownie that is made with cocoa powder, butter, sugar, eggs, and flour.

1 1/2 ea Chocolate, unsweetened, squa
2 tb Butter
1 c Sugar
2 ea Egg, well beaten
½ c Flour
1 ts Vanilla
½ c Raisins, chopped
½ c Nuts, chopped

Melt chocolate and butter together over hot water.

Add the sugar andvanilla; mix well.

Then add the well beaten eggs.

Sift the flour and stirin with the nuts and raisins.

Bake in a well-greased shallow pan at 350-Ffor 20 minutes.

When cool, cut in squares.
