A peach cobbler is a dessert which typically consists of a deep dish peach pie filling with a biscuit or pie crust topping.

 4 c Sliced peaches
 1 1/2 ts Baking powder
 ¼ c Sugar
 ½ ts Salt
 ½ c Butter or margarine
 ¾ c Vanilla ice cream
 1 c Flour

Combine peaches and 1/2 cup sugar.

Let stand for 10 minutes.

Melt butterin a 8 x 12 x 2 inch baking dish.

Set aside.

Combine flour, 1 cup sugar,baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.

Add milk, mixing well.

Pourbatter into prepared dish.

DO NOT STIR.

Pour peach mixture over batter.

Bake at 375 deg.
