INGREDIENTS

50 g Minced meat (beef, lean)
cup Rice (long grain, e.g. Basmati)
 ½ tsp Salt
  tsp Black pepper
tsp Arabic mixed spice (or All Spice)
  tbsp Sunflower oil
 ½ cup Water
 Pine seeds (fried)
 Parsley (chopped)

INSTRUCTIONS

1

Fry the minced meat in the sunflower oil with Arabic mixed spice, salt and black pepper. Start on high heat, and when the meat starts to cook lower it to medium. Keep moving the meat around and separate it into small pieces. You will notice the meat releases water - don’t let it all evaporate.

2

Add the water, rice, and remaining spices (salt, black pepper, Arabic mixed spice), mix well and cover. Bring to a boil on high heat, then put on low to simmer until cooked (about 15-20 minutes).

3

While the rice is cooking, fry pine some seeds in sunflower oil until they are golden brown. Continually stir, and careful not to let them burn (once they start changing color they brown quickly).
