There are many scones recipes, but a traditional scone is a quick bread made with flour, sugar, butter, eggs, and milk.

 2 c flour
 3 tb honey
 2 tb baking powder
 3 tb molasses
 ¼ c butter
 1 1/2 c pippin apple, diced
 ½ c milk

You must use the pippin apples diced.

Cut together flour, baking powderand butter.

Set aside.

In sauce pan, heat together milk, honey andmolasses just until warm.

Stir into flour mix.

Stir in diced apple byhand.

Work mixture together with your hands.

On floured board, roll outmix to 1/2 inch thick.

Cut into 2-inch rounds.

Place on oiled cookiesheets and bake at 350 degrees, 15 to 20 minutes.

Tops will be brown whendone.

Makes 16 scones.
