In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, sugar, vegetable oil, and milk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Grease with butter or cooking spray. Scoop 1/4 cup batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Serve with butter and syrup.
