Sweet and sour pork is a popular dish in Chinese cuisine that is made by cooking pork in a sweet and sour sauce. The sauce is typically made with vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce, and can also include other ingredients such as garlic, ginger, and onion. The pork is usually marinated in the sauce before being stir-fried or roasted.

 1 1/2 lb pork steak OR
 1 pk brown gravy mix
 1 lb cooked ham
 3 tb vinegar
 1 tb oil (opt.)
 ¼ ts minced ginger
 20 oz pineapple chunks
 1 ea green pepper, chopped
 1 c pineapple juice plus water

If you are using pork steak, freeze it just until firm and then slice itinto very thin strips.

For ham, cut into long strips about 3/8-inch on aside.

Brown meat in frying pan or wok, use oil if necessary.

Drainpineapple juice from canned pineapple into a measuring cup and add waterif necessary to get correct amount of liquid.

Add this to fry pan or wok.

Stir in brown gravy mix, vinegar and ginger.

Add pineapple and greenpepper.

Simmer about 10 minutes, just until liquid begins to thicken.

Serve over rice.
