Tortilla strips are a type of Mexican cuisine made from strips of fried or baked tortillas. They are often used as a garnish or topping on various dishes, such as soups, salads, and casseroles.
In a small mixing bowl combine cumin, red pepper, and salt.
Brush themelted margarine over one side of each tortilla and sprinkle with themixture.
Brush each tortilla lightly to distribute evenly.
Make 2 stacksof the tortillas.
Cut each stack into 1/2 wide strips.
Place tortillastrips in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400 degreesfor 8 to 10 minutes or until strips are crisped and lightly browned.
