Whole wheat muffins are a type of muffin made with whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour. They are usually denser and healthier than regular muffins, and can be made with a variety of different ingredients.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Thoroughly mix flours, sugar, baking powderand baking soda.
Form a well and add egg whites, buttermilk and oil.
Stironly until dry ingredients are moistened.
Fill lightly oiled or paperlined muffin tins about 2/3 full.
Bake for 25 minutes or until done.
VARIATIONS: Add blueberries,apples, raisins or dates.
Serve warm.
